Lunch date #1
Plum Sykes wrote about how she and her sister would take Saturday lunch dates to eat soup at a glitzy restaurant and drink martinis in NYC. They’d pop into Barney’s and Prada a little tipsy and buy a little skirt or some manolos then break their heels at the club that night.

Here’s lunch date #1: we’re having Joe and the Juice, looking at my camera roll and going to Zara.
The order: small hell of a nerve smoothie, tunacado (for here)
I rediscovered this photo in L’etiquette femme of this chic woman with a striped Balenciaga mini tote. It will never appear on The Real Real, but if it does, watch out for my claws. They will be sharp.

I’ve also been looking at photos of Gucci Westman on Pinterest recently. I love that she’s a makeup artist, so her style is functional and comfortable. She has a really specific aesthetic. Look at this sailor dress she wore to get ready for her wedding. She’s with her bestie Cameron Diaz, two unbothered girls.

Right now on my list is a black crewneck cashmere sweater and a puff sleeve button up blouse. Like this at H&M. With some beaten-up western silver and turquoise earrings and straight jeans and black tassel loafers.

The items I wear most often are masculine but I sabotage them with pink, lace, flowers, etc. My blue Polo blazer thinks it’s gonna secure some VC, then I hit it with the crochet halter and we’re off to the wine bar with the girls.

Along that line, at Zara this maxi tulip tank, crochet espadrilles and sort of Alaïa balloon sleeved top. The crystal earrings.

Everyone and their mother wants some little thong heels and these are pretty on the nose.

Rounding out the shopping date at Massimo Dutti and Cos. At the latter, white croc cuff. I’ve been looking for an eel/croc/lizard cuff. I might still pounce on this on from Vestiaire.

My feet hurt and I have a caffeine headache so iced matcha for the road and a 4pm nap.
À samedi !
